Just ended my 2nd week at shell. Everyday is a super tiring day for me. Spent like almost 3hrs everyday travelling to and fro. Argh, is really super sian lar. Then still have to go through 2 checkpoint every morning, is quite troublesome also.
Hopefully i will get used to it after some time ba!
This week is quite ok lar, much better than the first week. At least we were given some stuffs to do. Both of us went to take the safety test on monday, so that we can enter into to plant.
Then we got verbal test also. Questioned by our supervisor on some the topics related to our last sesmester's modules. Heng ah, we are able to answer his questions. Haha at least never throw our school face.
Then the most exciting part is visit to the plant yesterday. Is really wow wow wow when we enter into the plant. The plant is so big that we had to cycle our way inside. Every single things that we saw there are yi ge tian and yi ge di, compare to those in CPTC. The furance is very huge, hmm about the size of a HDB block. We went up to the furance, wah really can feel the intense heat.
Saw many huge distillation columns, reactors, pumps, pipings and many many more, and also visted the control room. Wah, i am really impressed by the ways they operate the whole plant and how they build it. Along the way he also explained all the single processes to us and more and more. Haha both of us were like 2 kids entering into a big playground haha. Is really 大开眼界 yesterday. But too bad i cant take pics there, if not i will post photos here.
Hmm maybe next week we can visit the plant again, yay!!
Actually going out to the plant is much better than staying in the office, facing at the monitor all the time. Haiz currently still doing the same old stuffs everyday. Updating graphs and the alram things. But i think next week onwards we will more things to do le.
